PowerX is a Strength & conditioning class created to help increase strength, technique and fitness.
The session is suitable for everybody as the focus of the session is on technique & movement performing simple exercises such as the squat, but taking time to develop the technique safely through broken down teaching prior to any workout. Many techniques are covered and revisited. The aim is to get the BEST out of people, so progression can be achieved and the techniques can be applied in other sessions we run.
Through proper technique we can move more efficiently to strengthen, and work the whole body through weighted and non-weighted movement. Following a technique breakdown there is a training session that can last anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes, you never know what to expect!
Other exercises involved in this style of workout is to build strength and technique to do handstands and handstand press ups, pull ups and work on the Olympic rings amongst many other exercises.
PowerX runs on a Tuesday 7– 8pm and Thursday 6 - 7pm. We also hold an open weight lifting session 10 -12 on a Saturday morning where James has prepared a session to practice techniques and is on hand to advise and coach
